Mercy Housing Lakefront is one of the Midwest's premier non-profit affordable housing development and management companies. We have developed and currently manage 21 properties serving more than 2,800 residents.
We are working with various partners to leverage $1 billion over seven years to address the housing crisis in the Chicago and Milwaukee regions by:
- Building or preserving 5,000 apartments;
- Facilitating the acquisition, rehabilitation and reoccupation of 2,500 foreclosed homes;
- Boarding-up and protecting 4,500 vacant homes; and
- Creating 8,000 jobs;
- Preventing or ending homelessness for 30,000 people.
We have 25 years of experience and have earned over forty awards, including four Fannie Mae Maxwell Awards, two Home Depot Foundation Awards and the 2010 Neighborhood Builder Award from Bank of America. We utilize state of the art green technology and design practices to ensure that our buildings are healthy and energy efficient.
