Mercy Housing Northwest - Idaho

In 1982, Mercy Housing Inc. (MHI) established its first regional housing development office in Idaho.

The year 2012 will mark the 30th anniversary for Mercy Housing Northwest - Idaho in providing affordable housing services to the communities of Idaho.  In that course of time, we have developed and currently manage 514 units and serve over 683 adults and 250 children who lack the economic resources to afford decent, safe and quality housing opportunities at below market rates.

Real Estate Activities

Mercy Housing Northwest – Idaho is currently in the pre-development stages for a new senior affordable housing development in Boise. The new structure, beginning construction in the spring of 2011, will have fifty-three (53) units, a large community room with a full kitchen housed in a three story building close to city amenities. An architect’s rendering of the new development is shown at the left.

Mercy Housing Northwest – Idaho is continuing their mission of affordable housing with their Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP). We are currently purchasing single family homes that were foreclosed and through some rehabilitation of each home are re-selling the homes to first time homebuyers. To date we have completed the rehabilitation and resale of nine (9) homes and have under contract three (3) additional homes.
