MHNW MAKES THE HOLIDAYS BRIGHTER FOR 939 RESIDENTS
The holiday season was a little brighter for nearly one thousand Mercy Housing Northwest (MHNW) residents in 2011. MHNW kicked off its annual holiday giving campaign in November and received requests from 939 residents for assistance during the holiday season. Part of MHNW’s commitment to creating stable, vibrant and healthy communities includes providing support for residents who need a little help giving presents to their children during the holidays. MHNW was committed to fulfilling all of the requests to ensure that everyone was able to enjoy the season.
Through the generosity of donors, partners and employees, all of the requests were met, and the residents received gifts and food. At many of the properties, residents enjoyed a holiday party and a surprise visit from Santa Claus who passed out toys, shoes, gift cards and more.

“The campaign was a huge success this year, and we are so grateful to all of our donors and partners who helped us fill all of the holiday requests,” said Katie Parker, Regional Director of Resident Services. “Even at our rural properties that do not have full-time Resident Services staff we were able to mail gift cards and drop presents off to our residents.”
MHNW staff is already planning for this year’s campaign and hope to bring holiday joy to even more residents in 2012.
