Mercy Housing Southeast

Mulberry Court

Mulberry Court provides affordable housing to low- and moderate-income families in the West Washington Street corridor in the SouthernSide neighborhood.

The development was made possible after a favorable decision from State Authorities along with support from Greenville’s Hollingsworth Funds, Inc. which helped cover high construction costs after the negative effects of Hurricane Katrina. On April 18, 2006, Mulberry Court received Proclamation from Greenville mayor Knox White in recognition of generous support and collaboration with the City of Greenville and the Department of Community Development. The City of Greenville complemented the community with $800,000 of new sidewalks, streetlights and landscaping.

  • 42 units of multifamily housing
  • One-, two– and three-bedroom apartments
  • The building consists of one, two and three-bedroom affordable homes for families earning 60% or less of the Area Median Income (approximately $33,000 per year)
